How to Rent a Surfboard with Madeira Surfing

This guide explains step by step how to rent a surfboard with Madeira Surfing. Please read it carefully before renting to ensure a smooth and easy experience 🤙

1️⃣ Initial Contact

Please noted that Before renting, you have to contact us through:

  • 🌐 Official website

This allows us to assist you if needed, but the rental itself is completed online.

2️⃣ Choosing Your Surfboard

We offer surfboards suitable for all levels:

  • Softboards – ideal for beginners

  • Funboards – stable and versatile

  • Shortboards – for experienced surfers

3️⃣ Rental Duration

You can rent a surfboard for:

  • 1-2 days

  • 3 days

  • 4 days

  • 5 days

Please note that rental prices are fixed and always for 24 hours(1day rental) starting from the pick-up time. After payment for 24h, 48h, 72h, etc…

4️⃣ Payment Process (Mandatory)

⚠️ Before making any payment please contact the Tenant make sure its all ok to proceed.

All payments(surfboard and Deposit) must be completed before access is granted.

💳 Surfboard Rental Payment

The rental payment must be made through one of our official platforms:

On these platforms, you can select the rental period (1–5 days) and pay securely by card.

💶 Security Deposit (250 €)

In addition to the rental fee, a security deposit of 250 € one Gong surfboard; 350€ on Pyxel Surfboard, must be paid to continue your rental process

  • This amount is a refundable deposit

  • It will be returned on the day of board return, after inspection( we have to do the inspection in 8h after delivery)

  • The deposit covers possible damages or loss

⚠️ If the surfboard is not returned in good condition, part or all of the deposit may be retained.

5️⃣ Container Access & Board Pickup

🔐 Access the Open Remotly or Code System

After both payments are confirmed (rental + deposit):

  • If You receive a personal access code

  • This code allows you to:

    • Open the container

    • Take your surfboard

    • Important take Fotos or videos the Damages inside of the conteinor and Send, if you dont do it, you will be responsable for the “old” damagens… Read the terms and Contions

    • Close the container securely

📦 Inside the container you will find:

  • Your surfboard

  • Leash and fins

  • Wetsuit

  • Boots

  • Helmed

  • A guide with all necessary instructions for correct use(ask help to the Tenant)

⚠️ No access code is sent until all payments are completed.  The access its limited once use(open/close and to open/close do delevery).

⚠️ Inside the container there is a surveillance system(video) for the safety of people and property. If you do not agree, do not make any payments, and if you have already made them, inform the lessee and the entire payment will be refunded before you enter the container to collect the surfboard.

6️⃣ During the Rental – Important Care Rules

To keep the equipment in good condition:

  • Always use a leash

  • Do not leave the board under direct sunlight

  • Avoid dragging the board on rocks

  • Handle the equipment with care

⚠️ Any damage must be reported immediately.

Since you rent the surfboard you have to keep the board       with you until de end the rental, we dont keep the surfboard inside conteinor.

7️⃣ Board Return

  • On the return day, use the same access code(if you Have or contact the Tenant to open Remotly by the Tenant.

  • The code(only works 24h after renting, and at same hour you pickup) allows you to open and close the container

  • Place the surfboard correctly inside the container

🛠️ Board Inspection

  • The board will be inspected by the Madeira Surfing team after delivery in 8hours.

  • If everything is in good condition, the 250 € deposit is refunded

  • If damage is found, responsibility and costs will be assessed

ℹ️ Important Information

  • Rentals are for adults or minors accompanied by a responsible adult

  • The customer is fully responsible for the equipment during the rental period

  • Loss, theft, or serious damage may result in additional charges
